Debbie Wood

Certified Animal Health Coach
Certified Carnivore Nutritionist

Debbie started her life in the beautiful Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, Canada. She has always had a small collection of animals of her own and earned her money as a dairy maid for several years observing the cattle and the other animals on the farm; sheep, pigs, chickens, geese, turkeys, barn cats and working dogs.

Debbie later moved into the butcher field and learned about the meat industry and hunting. This was where her interest in raw feeding began. More and more dog people were coming in trying to source raw meaty bones for their pets. There was not much information in those days, but Debbie absorbed everything she could from customers and the few books that were available.

From the butcher business grew Buddies Natural Pet Food. Vancouver Island's first all raw pet food makers. Debbie was "head chef" for eight years at Buddies and was able to apply the latest raw knowledge to her recipes. It was during these years that Debbie began her formal Nuturopathic studies.

After receiving her certification as a Carnivore Nutritionist Debbie started speaking at seminars and teaching people how to feed raw to their carnivores. She left Buddies Natural Pet Food and opened her own U-Bath studio in Duncan and completed her certification in Small Animal Naturopathics.

Debbie is now the nutrition consultant at Buddies Natural Pet Food and continues to run her U-Bath studio and study carnivore nutrition.
